mutant power (not applicable if human)
Charlene has the ability to start and control fires without so much as her mind, although she also has the ability to control it using simple hand movements or absolutely nothing but willpower, she can control almost every form of fire such as heat, smoke, and make it something more than it already was. She is capable of withstanding heats as high as the sun itself, even being able to create temperatures to match the Sun, although that could possibly force her into a coma as she is not that strong.
In addition to her gifts, Charlene has the ability to allow her body to take on the form of fire itself, although an outline of her body is fully visible.
appearance
(Siggy, or Avatar: Either match what Charlene looks like. If you want me to write a detailed appearance, I'd be more than happy too.)
personality
Charlene's attitude and personality varies on the situation, person, or place. Naturally, she is naive and very short tempered. She doesn't take too kindly to sucking up and doesn't find the weak very attractive. She keeps her head held high, and she can be quite bitchy at times. She also doesn't work well with BS, and if someone is acting rather rude or unkind to her she would naturally react the same way. Overall, Charlene isn't someone to take crap.
history
(YAY!)
Growing up, Charlene McGee was born to Andy and Vicki McGee. Merely humans, the two were involved in an experiment early before meeting and were given a drug in which caused them to develop the X-Gene. Being that they weren't born as such, the drug still had a great affect. They had met during this time and fell in love deeply, therefor, Charlene was born.
Her parents knew that having a child would be complicated, simply because she would be BORN with abilities such as theirs, yet to a greater extent. Their powers were weak in comparison to young Charlene's 'talents'. There daughter had the ability to create fire without so much as flinching, and it scared them yet amazed them at the same time. At the age of five, her parent's were harassed constantly by the same people that gave them the drug. They knew that Charlene was a Mutant by birth and that her DNA was what they needed to confirm whatever suspicions they had about the X-Gene.
Her parents naturally disagreed and were constantly on the run. Charlene had never been to a school in her life, having been Home Schooled all her life. As much as they were on the run, there parents thought it was only necessary to help Charlene maintain her gift, for her emotions were always on a high. Every time they had to leave a place she had got used to, she would get so angry or very sad. This resulted in all her surroundings going up in flames. But Charlene also had to ability to pull back what was released, and almost effortlessly.
Yet her next birthday would be the worst she ever had. On turning 6 years old, Charlene would meet the most devastating day of her life. She awoke alone, her mother and father nowhere in sight. So instantly she cried, calling for them. No respond was heard, so she got up and searched there small cabin. Immediately she was blindfolded and pinned against the floor, a man whispering for her to keep quiet and cooperate. Upon knowing what Charlene was capable of, they knocked her out with a cloth covered in a gassy substance immediately putting her to sleep.
Once again, she awoke alone yet in a small room. Immediately upon waking, there was a knock on the door closely followed by a rather old man walking in. Charlene threatened him to stay in his place, yet he proceeded forth having inflicted fear deep inside Charlene. This caused her to forget what she was capable of and tears immediately streamed down her face while the man talked. He promised her that if she cooperated her mother and father would be released, and they would be reunited. Like any little girl, Charlene did what she was told in order to see her family.
Months had passed and she had not seen her family, and her birthday slowly creeped closer. She demanded she see her parents, for in all the time spent away she was slowly building up on unexpressed anger. They had already had her demonstrate how much of this power she could use, her limits, her weaknesses, her strong points. Yet each time Charlene secretly held back. She had refused to do anymore test until she spoke with her mother and father.
They knew that she would keep to her word, so they purposely drugged Andy and Vicki in an effort to keep them from telling there daughter of the teams true plans. As Charlene walked towards her mother and father and hugged them tightly she noticed they were drooping and slurring there words. She looked to the old man and asked what was wrong, he told her they were simply tired and needed rest. Her father seemed to struggle and spoke in a whisper, "He's lieing. There using you, Charlene go, run away. Do all you can, run..." But after that his head had dropped to the side, and he wasn't breathing. Charlene noticed her mother was also the same way, lifeless.
The old man had killed them with a small pocket knife that was no bigger than a needle. He drove it into there necks and possibly thought Charlene wouldn't figure this out. Yet the blood dripping down there bodies was quite visible, and with one last effort, her father said to the old man.."You lost her..." The old man arched an eybrow in confusing as his gazed drifted onto Charlene, now glowing with a crimson light shortly followed by deep redish-orange flames that engulfed her body. His eyes widened in fear as Charlene forced the fire to spread across his body, engulfing him in flames that he was unable to replenish. He burned to ashes for what seemed like minutes, his body no longer.
In the next hour, Charlene had the three story building in flames, weakening it to the point where it collapsed. Fire trucks could be heard in the distance, and as if it was instinct Charlene ran. She knew what was ahead, and as lonely and afraid as she would be, her parents taught her well. She was street smart, able to fend for herself and fight for what she needed. Being that she was a Mutant, her abilities allowed her to leave situations that she had gotten herself into, allowed her to get feed in which she had no money for and she was quite swift so attaining clothes was no issue.
By the time she was 17 years old, she was capable of reaching a degree similar to the sun itself. More years had passed and on and off it was living on her own, doing random jobs for some money until finally she reached the age of 18, having a job that gave her the money she needed and a place to stay in Meadow Lanes. She had met some people who were possibly the worst, and some who she could never see herself living without. The red head had grown from a young girl to a grown woman, her looks almost to die for. As simple as it is, she is almost a natural at seduction yet in the heat of the moment, she could break a man's heart in a second.

Her eyes seemed to have not payed any mind to any onlookers or perves she had encountered on her little walk. She seemed to have been in her own world, not phased by the regrettable ordeal that consumed the world. She had a motherly way about her, and being only 18 wasn't necessarily something normal. Although, she had lived in the streets all her life, she developed a taste for the natural things of life. Coming to terms with her abilities and such had enabled her to except herself, gain more confidence, making her an altogether better person.
As she continued her walk, she hugged her gray sweater tightly, as the breeze picked up forcing the harsh cold winds to come in contact even more. Her flaming red hair tossed around as if it was on fire, but that was simply the mind playing tricks. As deep red as it was, it wasn't on fire....yet.
No smile could be seen across her face, although many smiles had come her way from the countless number of men only desiring something as such. It made her want to throw up, but she knew they could be easily handled if need be. Sadly, she was a seductress and she used her sex appeal to get her the finer things in life that she couldn't quite afford on her own. She had to work with what she gots. And if her body only complimented her, so be it.
Her destination seemed only too far away. Although the walk was a much needed exercise. A small place on the corner of 16th and Waverly, Strabucks, was her favorite place. Warm, cozy, welcoming. The drinks and little treats were rather tasty, and she had become an addict in the last month. Although not so much for the drink, simply because it became a habbit...oh the pleasure she would recieve once she reached Starbucks....
Soon....
Nope, well somewhat. But not entirely.
